The holidays are over whereas the academic year begins. Nevertheless, everything is not dark! In fact, this year again, the “Fête de la Corniche” will take place. For the 4th time, during the entire week-end, between Socoa and Abbadia, this demonstration will welcome you to participate at several events suggested by many associations, and exceptional this Sunday, to have a walk through the site, far from any engines, the road being closed.
This initiative, intended first of all to protect this fragile and unique surrounding which is La Corniche, will be the first new academic year’s meeting for the Basque Country and even beyond the Atlantic Coast. Every year since the beginning in 2006, Surfrider participates at the event. We will be on the stage this year again, since all our staff is ready to liven up our stands!
Surfrider will lead many discussions group to make the people aware as much as possible about the utmost urgency of the ecological fight in the Basque Country as well as in the others Oceans around the world. Surfrider invites everyone the 26th and 27th of September, on the corniche between Abbadia and Socoa, in order to spend an ecologic, festive and friendly week-end!
Every event during this week-end is available for free thanks to the Conseil général des Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
