Together, we can protect the coastline
Dedicated to the protection of oceans and coastlines, Surfrider Foundation Europe fights to preserve this exceptional natural heritage. Seas and oceans are threatened by strong anthropogenic pressures such as artificialisation, urbanization, water pollution and macro-waste which are degrading our valuable environment.
It is necessary to respect and protect this heritage for ourselves and future generations. This is the message our local chapters broadcast all over Europe. Dynamic and determined, they lead local actions to raise awareness to protect our coastlines from now on.
On the field, our independent laboratories and our "Keepers of the Coast" give information on the conditions of coastlines. They feed our supervision network, in order to establish the precise conditions of our beaches and act locally to fight pollution and artificialisation of the coastlines.
