Surfrider Foundation Europe fights to protect European beaches to allow future generations to be able enjoy healthy, living seas.

Still, the quality of our bathing waters remain fragile. Surfrider has established programs to facilitate the flow of information to beach users and to protect their low impact access to the coast. Surfrider's 1997 publication of “Black Flags” was widely acclaimed and today, Surfrider is a force in ocean conservation that cannot be ignored. We lead lobbying initiatives without forgetting our strength: on the ground actions by developing laboratories in conjunction with our program of local intermediaries: the “Keepers of the Coast”.

Surfrider Foundation Europe has campaigned for almost 20 years to protect beaches and the quality of bathing waters.
