Laboratories missions

The quality of our bathing water is more and more under threat, Surfrider Foundation Europe is putting in place action plans to provide users of the Coastline with better information and also to ensure that watersports enthusiasts are not forgotten.

Throughout Europe, Surfrider is collaborating with independent Laboratories to better understand the pollution problems of the Coastline.

In this way we can monitor the quality of water in bathing zones and watersports zones, in conjunction with existing networks, all year around; that which is not demanded by the 2006 directive on "bathing water".

Our Laboratories in this way dispose of independent Scientific data which encourages communication between local contributors and helps to resolve contamination problems.
