The golf keepers used to drain their pesticides and weedkillers tanks right down in the gutten, which leads directly to the Lamoulie stream, on the Ilbarritz beach. Consequently, microalgua have been observed at low tide on the golf area.

After a member’s report, featuring photos of which proved pesticides and chemical products used by the golf, the mowring green. We conducted a survey.
We have contacted the competent utility of the city coucil, water police, DDASS (french authorithy for sanitary and social affairs), as the golf owners.These ones deny the facts even if evidences have been reported. Nevertheless, ONEMA have investigated the caseand have reported discharges on the area.Offensive discharges seems to have stopped.
As a result, it seems to be a new success for Surfrider, hoping that new red-handed faxts won’t be recorded again.
